DEViewer

The purpose of the DEViewer software is to provide a free client for distance education courses.

The DEViewer is essentially a browser based software which renders education oriented XML files into a human viewable HTML format. The DEViewer can be run from any media (web, localized hard drives, floppy disk, removeable hard drives, usb keys, cd-roms, dvd-roms). As a result the DEViewer is very portable; making an excellent solution for training where access is limited.

Description

DEViewer is a client program designed to view content. The DEViewer is a computer program designed to facilitate the instruction of students. DEViewer is written in Javascript and uses Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 and 7, or Firefox 3 to view content contained in XML. Using content designated in XML allows for the flexibility of being able to re-purpose content.

Status

The DEviewer has been released for general usage. The DEViewer recently added support for the Firefox web browser. When installing DEViewer, the user has the ability to install in one of multiple languages. Currently, users must use Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or 7, or Firefox 3.
