DEScribe allows you to work with content from a large number of alphabets (yes, many non-Roman alphabets, including RTL languages). Also, the user interface messages and menu/button labels can be translated into many languages, although we have only provided translations in English, Russian, Spanish, and French at the moment. In response to the question of typographic functions, we have a "what you see is what you get" (a.k.a WYSIWIG) content editor, which provides the ability to set the font typeface, to create superscript and subscript text, to assign several preset heading levels, to set the alignment, and to create bulleted and numbered lists.
