Why Support the Manleys?

Today, I'm starting our new Ministry Partnership blog.  What a humbling experience. 

Some days, I just can't imagine why anyone would support Regina & me.  God made us neither firery evangelists nor prolific church planters. 

Instead, Jesus asks Regina to train believers how to share the depths of stories in His Word. She just returned from training Mayan Bible students in Guatemala.  She'll share details in a prayer letter later this month.

He asks me to write about what He's doing through MAF.  Last Friday, we just put our new website online.  Go to www.maflt.org to see the fruit of several months of my (and our team's) labor.

On those days when I wonder what we could be doing that's worth supporting, the Lord reminds me of a simple truth.  Our partners aren't supporting what we're doing.  They're participating in His work.  They're sharing in those forms of grace that Jesus chooses to work through Regina & me.

Put's an entirely different light on what we do.  Instead of thanking you for supporting us, I should thank you for obeying His call.  You respond with generous faith to His offer of a share in His great work.  That is, indeed, worth doing.
