Manley Ministry Update - Thailand #4

Dear Friends,

As you know, I spent a few weeks in Senegal, Africa doing Simply The Story (STS) workshops in October and then another 2 weeks doing STS workshops with Jim in Thailand in early November.  We taught the Karen students who were in their last year of Bible school at two different refugee camps.  It is a tradition among Karen Christians to take every opportunity during the month of December to spread the Gospel. This tradition is called “Sweet December.”

The pictures below show students practicing Bible story telling followed by good questions.  The idea is to provoke discovery learning of Spiritual observations and then use more questions to relate those insights to daily life.

These students will travel in three different groups.  One group will go to another refugee camp.  A second group will share their faith in Thai villages.  The third group will, literally, risk “life and limb” to spread the Good News back in Burma, the very country from which they had to flee for their lives.  These pictures show the students receiving their workshop certificates and our praying for their upcoming trip.

Won’t you join with us in prayer for these students? Let us join together as part of the supply train that extends the power of God to save souls that our enemy has blinded to the light of the Gospel! We will be sure to share with you the reports of the great things that God is doing through the students’ outreach during this time.

Thank you for making it possible to train others in the work of the ministry. Because of your faithful support, the Gospel is going forth LITERALLY to the ends of the earth.

May God bless you richly in this holiday season.

Regina (for Jim too!)
