Morris, Richard

Richard MorrisRichard was born and raised in England, where he pursued a career in the emerging field of computers. In 1969 he and his wife, Patricia, were transferred to South Africa where they lived for sixteen years and gave birth to their two children, Leigh and Colin. During this time Richard gained valuable experience in computers, management and consulting. In 1979 he was hired by KPMG to establish an I.T. consulting practice, which he managed for 5 years.

After coming to faith in Christ in 1981 in South Africa, Richard sensed a call to full-time ministry and relocated to Southern California to complete the Master of Divinity program at International School of Theology (ISOT). This was followed by ordination (North American Baptist), a ministry of preaching and teaching, and eventual association with Missionary Gospel Fellowship (MGF). His time with MGF included cross-cultural ministry among South Asian immigrants and a two-year stint
as General Director.

In 1997 Richard was loaned to ISOT to establish a distance education (D.E.) program for adult and graduate students. Under his leadership, ISOT delivered more than 20 courses to students in 24 countries.

In July 2000 he joined MAF-U.S. as Co-director of the DE Eurasia Project with specific responsibility for DE course development. Richard oversees LT staff in three countries and as well as those based at MAF-U.S. headquarters in Nampa, ID.
